SM GTW: The Redhead Model Search

 For those of you who frequent SM Department Store for affordable and fast fashion, you must be familiar with one of their house brands in the Girls Teens Wear department.

Redhead carries an assortment of comfortable, on-trend items at very friendly price points.

I remember buying a bunch of my basics from them when I was still a freshman in college.

In fact, the blue baby-doll top I wore to my first date with P some 3 to 4 years ago is from Redhead! Cheesy!

Anyway, they've been upping the ante by producing more than just basics lately.

Now, they're proud to announce...

 

This coming June, redhead will officially be on the lookout for the hottest next three faces out there! The search will be exciting and one of a kind; all participating contestants will actually be able to see herself online on a virtual runway! 

So what are you waiting for? Joining is easy! All willing participants must be female, 15-25 years old, and at least 5’1” in height. And all you have to do is make a single-receipt purchase of P499.75 of any redhead item from the GTW department at SM Department Store then visit either the redhead virtual-runway tour or like our facebook page:

Are you all psyched yet for this Friday's event?

 I know I am! Unfortunately, we'll be coming in late afternoon because we have our day jobs to attend to.

I thought I'd jump in the "sneak peek" bandwagon.

 Really desperate for some additional closet and shoe cabinet space so I'll be happy to part with these for a pittance. Rosanna and I will be selling some vintage overstock from Looking for Lola as well, so be sure to mosey on over to our booth!

COLLAR CLUB

P and I decided to experiment a little with bits and pieces of fabric we purchased. 

Below are the results of our experiment.

 D: I've always been a fan of the Peter Pan collar and sometimes, found myself wishing that I could spiff up a basic tee with a cute collar. What I've come up with is by no means ground-breaking or avant garde, just a cutesy little addition that's nice to have around!

(detachable collars in red, mustard, crisp white, black, cobalt blue, and gray)

 

P: Past the age of 7-8, a kid is expected to be able to tie his own shoe laces, right? Well, I think a gentleman should be able to do the same with a necktie AND bow tie. They just add something extra that a clip-on does not. I always enjoy taking that extra step because it's worth it.

Feature: SM Boys’ Teens Wear - Part 3

Here's the last of my great haul from SM. The jacket is probably my favorite piece so it's a fitting finale as well.

It's a double-breasted sweater/jacket with wide lapels and a perfect fit.

It's got so much character; a lot more flair than your average cardigan.

Thanks D for helping me find this :)

I also got this trompe l'oeil shirt from the teens' section. I like that the fabric is burnt out; it lends to the rough n' tumble feel of it. It's perfect as something to throw on with a pair of dark jeans.
