Free Pancakes!

~ ~
P: Dean &Trent cardigan, BKK shirt, Topman belt and jeans, Pedro shoes
The toggles on the cardigan are awesome. The colors are a bit hard to pair but it's a unique piece that really pops.
H&M striped sweater, jones+jones pleated neon green skirt, JS Dany platforms
Bought this skirt at the Topshop Oxford store. The basement floor is made up of different brands (like jones+jones) that consign with Topshop! It was on sale for only 10 pounds so I snatched it up right away.
The layered neckpiece is from Primark and we're actually selling one or two pieces at Looking for Lola. It's very substantial and can spiffy up any outfit. The silver cuff is from SM accessories and has a really cool cross detail that I didn't get to photograph.
H&M sunglasses brings out my inner magpie. Yay sparkly!
Last week, our friends from the Bistro group were kind enough to invite us for dinner in Flapjacks Greenhills.
Cozy interiors and warm colors for the comfort food on the menu
This buffalo chicken salad was a surprise hit for our group. It definitely deserves to be on their favorites list by combining the creamy blue cheese dressing with the tangy, spicy chicken.
Lemon-pepper white fish with herb rice. The fish dish is perfect for those who are counting calories and it adds variety to an otherwise meaty affair. It's also part of their Back Better.. Best menu.
Spicy Texas burger. This baby comes topped with bacon, onions, cheddar cheese and barbecue sauce. We requested to add extra mushrooms as well to round off all the mouth-watering trimmings. The beef didn't taste like any generic patty; it was packed with flavor and cooked well (not too stiff, not too crumbly). This is a solid snack or lunch choice.
The bacon-wrapped pork medallions just edged out the burger as the favorite dish of the night. The pork was perfectly juicy and flavorful. The smoky meat paired well with the black peppercorn sauce (make sure to ask for more sauce on the side). You'd think that for a side dish, not a lot of effort would be put into the coleslaw but this was surprisingly one of the best ones we've tried. It had a sweet, garlic flavor that had all of us raving.
D hates raisins but she was perfectly happy with the bread pudding (with vanilla ice cream) that we ordered for a sweet finish. It was a good balance between a light and heavy dessert; a great way to cap off an awesome meal.

There's a cool new blog in town! Have you guys chanced upon Everyday Trails yet?
If not, we really think you should take the time out to read all the musings on fashion, travel, and all the other "every days" of the blogger behind this cool website.
Fine, we might seem a tad bit biased because we were lucky enough to be featured on it. But all that aside, we think you'll find some interesting insights as you go through the articles on the blog.
Have an amazing week! :)

 FASHION
D: Cheap Monday denim jacket, Gap tank top, vintage skirt from Antwerp, Primark heels and necklace
I got such a kick out of wearing this skirt, love the bright colors and loud pattern on it! The easy denim jacket was thrown on for practicality's sake as I was anticipating aircon levels to run high.
I was surprised at how comfy these Primark heels were! They didn't kill my feet at all and punctuated the outfit with a pretty mint color.
Customized evil eye bracelet from Bead Shop Rockwell, vintage turquoise and silver cuff from my grandma
I've always been fascinated with evil eye trimmings and when I spotted this leather cord in The Bead Shop, I knew I had to get it. Initially, the biggest bit was part of a key chain but I added it on for an additional P60 only! Cheap thrills for the win!
P: Zara leather jacket, H&M shirt and tie
I came straight from the office so I didn't have time to change or take proper outfit shots. I just decided to throw on this leather jacket for a more casual, less business touch.

EVENT
Last September 6,  Redhead unveiled the 3 winners of their model search contest.
Meet the top 12 finalists!
The event was held at Amber Ultra Lounge in the Fort.
It was hosted by Bianca Valerio, who also acted as the modeling mentor of the contestants.
There was a mini fashion show to present some of the brand's newest offerings (all found at your nearest SM Department Store, of course). I spotted quite a few cute skirts and this really fun candy-striped maxi dress. It was a good reminder for me to check out the new stocks of SM!
And finally, the 3 lovely ladies were announced and presented to the press. Not only do they get to be Redhead's newest brand ambassadresses, they also win a 12-month modeling contract with SM and an enormous supply of clothing! Lucky girls!

Floral Fever

~ ~
No special event, just a quick outfit post!
P: River Island hat, HK shirt, thrifted shorts, Office shoes
Some of my old-ish stuff mixed in with some new things. I obviously don't shop as much as D so I repeat a lot more. In other news, I finally found the perfect straw hat with just the right amount of brim. Plus it also has an actual feather stuck in so I literally have a "feather in my cap." Detail shot next time!
D: vintage top, department store jeans, JC Snicks
Got a pair of flares using some old GCs that are nearly expiring but the flare isn't really emphasized from the front. They're pretty comfy and add to the retro vibe of the top.
(H&M cuff, Topshop ring, Casio watch, random leather bracelet)
Love the fun floral cut-outs of the top but the fabric is so delicate that I accidentally ripped two flowers in the back so they now look like large holes. Whattahassle.
Say hello to Nice, my household helper and cranky photographer! Also in the picture are the sunglasses I scored from Portobello Market.
Hope you all had a good week! - P&D
