Mall Rats: Market Market

~ ~
 FASHION

H&M shirt, Topman jeans and belt, Zara driving shoes

Another shirt stolen from my brother; love the picnic gingham. H&M dress shirts fit almost perfectly aside from the longish sleeves. I wish someone would bring the label over here!

Tango dress, F21 braided belt, JS Dany heels, accessories from everywhere

My mom bought this dress for herself and decided last minute that it wasn't really her style.
Lucky for me that it came free-sized! The tie-dye pattern looks fresh in an urban setting but I wouldn't wear it to the beach.

Speaking of beach, we just came back from Batangas and I think I applied sunblock a little too sparingly. I look like a lobster in this shot! Thank goodness the redness is evening out and developing into a better brown.

 MALL RATS: EPISODE 2
MARKET! MARKET!

Given the fact that we both work 2 minutes away from Market Market, it's funny that our cumulative visits probably amount to less than ten. So just for giggles, we decided to explore some unknown territory and check out this huge mall.
Apparently, it's bigger than we anticipated. We only had an hour and a half so we ended up going to Metro Department Store and half of the Fashion Market. Here are some of the things that caught our eye...

Mall Rats: Robinsons Galleria

~ ~
FASHION

band shirt, Topman pants, Bkk neon green and gray plimsolls,
21Men shades and belt

I like that the yellow of the shirt is both bright and faded in parts. I need more chinos! I'm hoping to find a nice hunter green pair, perhaps with some pleats.

Dorothy Perkins top, F21 pants, belt, and shoes

Listing down my outfit sources makes me think that I go to Forever21 more than I should be.
And horizontal stripes are not my best friend, but this shirt is too comfy to pass up.

I scored these earring for P49.50 at the neighborhood grocery store!
How random is that?!

Our cheesy matching Timex watches
Their large faces and unfussy leather straps are so practical for everyday use!
Both were steals from the Robinsons Galleria Department store.

MALL RATS: EPISODE 1

One afternoon, we were mulling over what to do for the weekend and it dawned on us that we always ended up going to a mall. Really, it's quite ridiculous how much time we spend going to all the shopping centers in Manila. And it's getting to be quite the costly habit too.

So we decided turn this pastime into something productive, which brings us to a new segment for this blog. It's a pretty straightforward concept. From time to time, we will feature good finds from a chosen mall.
It wasn't easy trying to sneak photos during our first run. One would have to distract the suspicious SAs while the other took a quick snap. You'll have to pardon our less-than-professional shots!

Anyway, we hope you have fun going through the photos of some of the things that caught our eye at: ROBINSONS' GALLERIA!

more after the jump!

Birthday Songs

~ ~
Happy birthday, Mr. Chippy!

Last Friday, our friend Rigs celebrated his 24th and we came over to celebrate. He had a lounge singer and guitarist over as well for some live karaoke goodness. Not a bad idea for a party!

Button down from Platinum mall in BKK, Topman below

Sorry for the rumpled shirt, it was a long day.
It might be the second appearance of the shirt but I really like how the hot pink complements the subdued chambray. The collar's abbreviated too so it's not too loud, just enough to signify you're ready to play after work.

Topshop fringe top, bleached black shorts, vintage brown belt, JC Salvatore shoes
This top makes it so fun to wiggle around! I love the pale peach color and the mantel-like fabric.

Love this pretty filigree ring given to me by a student for my birthday last month!
