PFW: The Ramp

~ ~
 FASHION
D: vintage top, F21 bell bottoms, JS Dany platforms, necklace from The Ramp
I didn't feel like bringing on the razzle dazzle for an afternoon show, (which might be a faux pas during fashion week) but I threw on a pair of kitsch cat-eye glasses at the last minute. In other news, the trousers are made of a nice stretch fabric so they're super comfortable.
The top was a lucky find during a thrifting trip. It was actually brand new with all the tags still attached and a spare button to boot. Love the contrast navy trim and the overall 70's vibe.
I'm really liking the shorter necklace length and more structured design that's kind of trending right now. This one is a brass toned collar wrapped in leather strips with feathers dangling. Only P450 at The Ramp Crossings!
P: H&M button down, 21Men bowtie, Primark belt, Topman pants, Office shoes, River Island hat, Aldo sunglasses
As you can probably tell, I'm not a regular at Philippine Fashion Week (or any fashion show, for that matter). so I don't really have a clear idea what men wear to these events. Just thought I'd jazz up an outfit with a bow tie, since I'm not allowed to wear them to work anymore. :(
The button-down was a steal at 7 Euros at the H&M store on Champs-Elysees. I was a bit apprehensive about the yellow at first, but I knew that I needed a new color (that isn't blue or white) in my office wardrobe. Also, D randomly interjected that it reminded her of the uniform she wore in high school!
Here's a close-up of my bow tie's texture and print as well as my Goldilocks top!
THE SHOW
The Ramp Crossings had a fabulous show that was kicked off with this black and white montage. I loved the vibe of this segment, structured and clean with interesting details. I was especially fond of all the tops and outerwear they featured.
Really liking this mullet silhouette!
Loved all the capes they used throughout the show!
Another top with great movement
Interesting collar feature that looks really sharp all buttoned-up
Love the high shine and the peplum, so sassy!
The next segment showcased snake print and continued on with the black theme.
Another great mullet shape, this time in dress form.
Great swoosh in the trousers! That always adds a little spring to your step.
Lovely draping details
Finally, they had the more laid-back segment of the fashion show. This time they highlighted shades of cornflower/mustard. The models were all styled with mary-jane flatforms and black court shoes. The outfit that's front and center was one of my favorites of the show. The cape looks amazing and so does that crisp white top! The entire outfit is so eye-catching without "screaming."
Congratulations to The Ramp team on a wonderful show! Thank you for being so accommodating to us! As usual, The Ramp gives us more than a handful of reasons to visit one of their branches. You're sure to find something you absolutely must have during every visit. I can't wait to pick up some of the pieces I spotted.
We leave you with this snapshot of the cute kiddos working it on the runway! For all the mommas out there, don't forget to make a pit stop at The Ramp Kids to stock up on some fashionable new threads for your tots!
