A Flat Festival

~ ~
I've been a very good girl lately, when it comes to buying killer heels that don't usually have a very good cost-per-wear ratio since I don't normally wear heels on weekdays. Fortunately, (or unfortunately, for my wallet) I have been able to get my shoe fix by justifying purchases of flats by saying to myself (and P) that I need them for work anyway.
Here's one of my latest purchases from Steve Madden at SM Atrium. It has a leather inner so I know it will last me for quite a bit, assuming I don't scrape all the glitter off running around the playground at work.
Lucky for me, they were almost half off! It was a good thing I went all the way to the back of the store and spotted the sale rack that isn't entirely visible. I love the sparkly twist on the classic penny loafer. Lately, I've been obsessing over men's shoe styles. When it comes to flats, I find myself preferring loafers, moccasins, and Hefner-type slippers.
They're also really handy for de-frillyfying feminine outfits, which is one of my favorite style shortcuts.
I also wanted to feature my second pair of Salt Water sandals. After seeing my white ones withstand all sorts of terrain, I am fully convinced of how indestructible they are. I love that they also remind me of the shoes my mom used to make me wear as a toddler. They're super practical, comfortable and classic. I think of them as an elevated flipflop since they're appropriate for schlepping without making you look sloppy.
The treated leather allowed me to stroll along beaches from Batangas to Nice without worrying about ruining a good pair of shoes. Plus it doesn't hurt that Alexa Chung (ultimate girl crush)was spotted in them too!

Okay, enough sales talk! Grab a pair of your own at Moana, Power Plant Mall! As of my last visit, they had red, yellow, white, navy, gold, and black.
And finally, to cap off this post are these fun ankle socks I found at SM! They come in a lot of different prints and are slightly sheer when worn. They're fun to mix and match with heels to see what combination works best. The best part is they're only P99 per pair!
